great battery; spool is too small , May 10, 2012

I bought this trimmer for its light-weight and battery life (I have a 1-acre lot).  Battery holds up great, but the spool doesn't, and I usually have to change it before I complete the job. Going through a lot of spools.  Not happy about that.  Would be great if I could retro-fit a larger, redesigned spool.
Newer versus older WORX GT , May 09, 2012

I love my trimmer.  In facat, I just bought what must be an older model from a neighbor who has the other type of battery with it.  Is there some way that I can get a booklet to show me how to move it from a edger to a trimmer.  The person cannot find the paper work for it.  I have 2 batteries.  The one review was correct. The new 18V Lithium battery does hold a longer charge. I am getting ready to go out before it rains again, to do some trimming.  Thanks.

I have always used corded lawn edgers for years. This WORX battery edger just blows the othere away. It is simple to use, the results are awesome and my neighbors DO ask where I got it. 
I highly recommend any WORX tool for an exceptional job on your lawn. I also own thw WORKS corded lawn mower and my lawn looks GREAT! Thanks WORX!!

very good tool,but the spoolcap is very weak design.my cap broke the frist time I used it,it will not work well without it.that is the problem I have with it .At about 8.00 dollors to replace this could be very costly.

I love this product.  I was disappointed with the battery life even when I charged it overnight.  I called customer service to explain my problem and order more reels since I was using my last reel an I have lifetime reels.  Incidently, my product was ordered in 2009 and I am ordering my first order of reels!!!!!!!  My customer service rep, Christian, informed me that they were sending me a new battery--no charge!!!!!!  All I have to pay for is a very low shipping charge for my reels.  My husband electric trimmer broke and is now using mine.  We both have back problems and this trimmer is perfect for us.  I applaud the workmanship, the company for standing behind its product and the excellent customer service I received from Christian.
